Hugo Brument Scuderi is a dancer, choreographer and director from Paris, France. He has trained in musical theatre at Jacobs Pillow, Broadway Dance Center and Rick Odums School. Tanner Lane (he/him) is a NYC based performer and choreographer. He is currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center where he teaches Theatre Jazz as well as Deviate Dance Convention where he teaches Theatre, Jazz, and Heels. He moved to New York from Florida after attending Florida State University for Musical Theatre. Shortly after moving to the city, Tanner joined the equity Broadway National Tour of Chicago The Musical where he toured both nationally (including Kennedy Center) and internationally (South Korea, Japan, Philippines). In NYC he is the only person to have performed as both a singer and a dancer in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. This summer he choreographed for the Las Culturistas 2024 Culture Awards with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang and set a number for an event with Leg Up On Life. Tanner has also had the opportunity to perform around the country regionally in Joseph…, and Billy Elliot (The Muny), Bye Bye Birdie (Lyric Theatre OKC), A Chorus Line (Stages St. Louis), and more.

Sarah Juliet Shaw (she/her) is a New York City-based performer, teacher, and choreographer. As a performer, she most recently worked on seasons 4 and 5 of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (chor. Marguerite Derricks). Other credits include regional productions of The Wedding Singer (Holly), Chicago (u/s Velma Kelly), Flashdance, Saturday Night Fever, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Little Mermaid, Elf: The Musical, Carousel, and Kiss Me, Kate.

As a choreographer, Sarah most recently presented work in the New York Theatre Barn Choreography Lab. She also served as the assistant choreographer to Rachel Leigh Dolan on her piece with Dance Lab New York and to Richard J. Hinds on his piece with the BDC AIM Company. Throughout the course of her training, Sarah has had the privilege of assisting many well-known dance educators and choreographers such as Marguerite Derricks, Lizz Picini, Richard J. Hinds, Marjorie Failoni, and Rachel Leigh Dolan. These opportunities, combined with her experience as a consistently working and actively auditioning performer herself, give her a well-rounded perspective and valuable insight as a teacher. Sarah is passionate about helping her students develop the knowledge and confidence it takes to successfully navigate this industry. Her hope is to create a positive, professional, and safe environment for her students to work towards their goals.

Rachel Leigh Dolan (she/her) is a highly sought-after choreographer, director, and educator known for her bold musicality, emotional depth, and collaborative spirit. With over two decades of experience, she has choreographed numerous professional productions across stage, screen, and live events earning multiple industry awards, including two Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding Choreography. A few of her favorite credits include BYE BYE BIRDIE at the Kennedy Center, STAGE MOTHER (A new musical), Dance Lab New York, and working alongside some of the best dancers and creatives in the industry on various labs, workshops, and collaborations.

Rachel has been teaching for more than 20 years and is widely recognized as an inspiring and impactful mentor to the next generation of performers. She’s as passionate in the classroom as she is in the rehearsal studio, bringing a balance of precision, artistry, and heart to every space she leads.

She is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, as well as an adjunct faculty member at Pace University’s Sands College of Performing Arts.

Rachel’s Theatre Jazz class is a powerful, soulful experience that blends storytelling with strong technical foundation. Rooted in character, intention, and musicality, dancers explore what it means to move with both specificity and purpose. The choreography draws from both classic and contemporary influences, challenging dancers to bring their full selves (body, mind, and heart) to the room.

Rebecca Frazier is a New York City based director, choreographer and teaching artist.

Most recently Rebecca’s choreography was featured at Florida Repertory theatre, in SHOUT: The Mod Musical.

At Sierra Repertory Theatre, Rebecca choreographed R+H Cinderella, Rudolph: The Red Nosed Reindeer the Musical, and Sh-Boom: A Christmas Miracle, the world premiere of Roger Bean’s new musical.

She choreographed the regional premiere of Escape to Margaritaville at Timber Lake Playhouse and she was a featured choreographer at the New York Theater Barn Choreography Lab, and has presented work at venues like Dixon Place and the Tank in NYC, and a dance installation featured at the Robot Love Festival held at the Foosaner Art Museum in Melbourne, FL. Other choreography credits include Young Frankenstein (Broadway World Nomination, Best Choreography), Once Upon a MattressThe Wizard of Oz, and Lucky Stiff.

Her directing credits include Off Broadway, New York and regional theater, working on shows such as EvitaMamma Mia, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Her production of Charlie Brown was nominated for the 2021 Berkshire Theatre Award for Outstanding Musical. Rebecca has also directed new works, including Zoe Hates Green for the SOOP to Nuts Festival at the SOOP Theatre, and readings of new musicals and plays. 

Rebecca frequently choreographs for screen, including the award winning short films “Reverie” and “Dream No 37,091”. She’s also choreographed music videos for recording artists, including Poonam Singh’s debut single “Sick and Tired”, and her work is featured in the film “Nyctophobia”. Rebecca choreographed the parody music video “When You’re a Jet”, featured on Sour Pickles TV’s Youtube channel.

Rebecca is on the full time faculty at Steps on Broadway, and has taught at Broadway Dance Center, and at studios and conventions around the country. 

Class Descriptions:

Advanced Beginner Theater Dance: 
After a challenging and athletic warm up, dancers get to work on learning choreography quickly and efficiently. Rebecca’s combination styles range from disco to Jack Cole influences, and her music choices include pop music, country, rock and roll, Motown, and more. Class is about working on technique, audition skills, acting through dance skills, and about building a sense of community with each other through class every week.

Beginner Theater Dance 
Beginner theater dance class includes an athletic warm up geared towards core strength, several technical across the floor combinations, and then a combination focusing on style and character driven movement. Her class is ideal for singers who move, who are looking to hone in on improving technique and the skill of picking up choreography quickly, and dancers looking to access the story-telling driven movement associated with musical theater dance.

Andrew Winans is an award-winning director and choreographer represented currently with two shows in the off-Broadway circuit. His work has been honored with multiple Perry, New York Theatre Festival, Theatre Maker and BroadwayWorld Awards and nominations. Andrew has worked closely under TONY Award recognized Broadway legends Bob Avian, Baayork Lee, Randy Skinner, Chet Walker and Donna McKechnie and reconstructed the works of Jerome Robbins and Michael Bennett.

He recently directed and choreographed Maddie: A New Musical off-Broadway, nominated for 7 NYTF Awards and BroadwayWorld Awards including Best Musical, Direction and Choreography.

Other New York creative and assistant credits include: Wicked (Broadway), Do Re Mi (revival), Agatha Christie’s The Hollow (Players Theatre), Mike & Mindy’s Wild Weekend Jam (Players Theatre) and Company of Man (AMT Theatre).

Andrew worked as assistant to Bob Avian, Baayork Lee and the Michael Bennett estate on over 10 first class companies of A Chorus Line including: New York City Center, multiple National and International Tours, China Premier, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, The Public Theatre and The Apollo Theatre. Andrew also re-staged A Chorus Line at Summer Stock Stage and Algonquin Arts, nominated for 4 BWW Regional Awards.

Original, associate, resident and reconstruction work has been seen internationally with: Norwegian Creative Studios, Hershey Park, RWS Entertainment, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, American Dance Machine for the 21st Century, 54 Below, Green Room 42, CAP21, Hunter College in additional to multiple regional theatres, AEA staged readings and workshops. Andrew won both the 2021 NJ Perry Award and BWW Regional Award for Best Choreography in Hello, Dolly! with Capital Productions.

As a performer, he toured in national and international companies of 42nd Street and A Chorus Line, also seen at: North Shore Music Theatre, Gateway Playhouse, Maine State Music Theatre, ACT of Connecticut among many other regionals. On screen television and film credits include Saturday Night Live hosted by Jason Sudeikis, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Live by Night starring Ben Affleck, and Leading Ladies on PBS.

Andrew holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory and additionally trained at The School at Jacob’s Pillow. He is currently on faculty at STEPS on Broadway, Peridance Center and adjunct at Marymount Manhattan College, dedicated to passing on a revived, classic style of story-telling based theatre jazz and tap.

Class Descriptions
Theater Dance
Class focuses on performance, technique, and individuality through the classic styles of musical theatre jazz dance. Andrew’s class begins with a concise, structured warm-up to enhance technique, strengthen and stretch the body through a series of jazz, ballet, yoga and pilates progressions. After across the floor sequences, combination will emphasize musicality, specification, story telling and strength. Dancers are encouraged to celebrate their individuality in an encouraging environment!

Tap
Class emphasizes strong technique, musicality, agility, precision and style through warm-up, across the floor sequences and combination. With Broadway-style hoofing and musical theatre style at it’s core, students will be challenged to dance will full body, not just feet.

Australian born Nicholas Cunningham is an international performer, dancer, and choreographer who resides in New York City.

He is deeply passionate about theatrical dance, musicianship, and storytelling. His one-of-a-kind, world-class hybrid style defines his multiverse choreography that connects imaginations, music, and stories through dance. Cunningham approaches each creation with an open mind and a warm, collaborative energy. He creates space to explore the infinite imagination we have as humans.

His performance debut was at the world-famous Moulin Rouge. West End credits include Broadway’s Tony award-winning show Movin’ Out, directed and choreographed by Twyla Tharp, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake and the Olivier award-winning revival of La Cage aux Folles. During his time in London, Cunningham was featured in Nine, directed by Oscar-winner Rob Marshall. Cunningham debuted on Broadway as the Associate Choreographer, Dance Captain and Hanna from Hamburg in the Tony, Drama Desk award-winning revival of La Cage aux Folles in 2010. Cunningham’s Broadway credits include The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Hal Prince and The Terms of My Surrender, directed by Michael Mayer.

A few recent performance highlights include High Button Shoes in the New York City directed by John Rando and choreographed by Sarah O’Gleby, Bernstein’s Candide with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, directed by Kevin Newberry, Bernstein’s Mass for PBS Great Performances at the Ravinia Festival conducted by Marin Alsop, directed by Kevin Newberry.

Most recently Cunningham has worked as a presenter on The Wendy Williams Show, performed for NBC and American Horror Story, choreographed for Princeton University’s Triangle Club, and was a swing/solo dancer at The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
