Class Description
Sarah’s ‘MEAHL IN HEELS’ class is for EVERYONE. You can wear any shoe you fancy, but Sarah will always be in a theatre heel, and loves to encourage training her dancers to be able to do anything in a heel for the art of Musical Theatre! Sarah’s class is rooted in technique, and athleticism and has elements of classic Musical Theatre Dance. Think Jack Cole, Jerome Robbins, Gene Kelly, Cyd Cherisse. Sarah’s style depends on the song and character, but she absolutely adores and is inspired by the style and music created from 1900-1950s! She has a big band soul and prefers to dance to big brassy instruments and a hot snare drum!
Sarah always tries to give each dancer a chance to jump, turn, kick, travel and do floor work in every single combination, and boy does she have a lot of them!
Usually Sarah does not allow cameras in her class. She really cares about creating a safe environment where dancers can try new things and find community.
