Brando Ortiz (he/him) is an Ecuadorian choreographer, dancer, and educator from Queens, New York and was immersed into the arts at the age of 9, where he discovered his passion for dance through salsa. He trained in salsa at Cali Salsa Pal Mundo for 10 years, consistently competing and training around the world. He was fortunate enough to perform at salsa live shows like Salsamemucho in China and at Madison Square Garden in New York. During this time, he was also training at Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teen Program, under the direction of Allie Beach. He was grateful to learn under Stacie Webster, Michaela McGowan, Jessica Epting, Selena Hepburn, Erica Ratkovicz, and more. He was also a part of Broadway Dance Center’s Arts In Motion Apprentice Company, where he performed work by Cat Cogliandro. Along with this program, he attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School, majoring in dance. He worked with many choreographers, one being Jessica Lang where he performed the work at The Metropolitan Opera House. He graduated from both the program and high school in 2020 and continued his education at Adelphi University. In May 2024, he graduated with a BBA in Business Management and BFA in Dance. During his time there, he performed works by Doug Varone, Omar Romá De Jes&uactue;s, Isaac Learner, Mark Morris, Maggie Joy, Sloan Pearson, Adelheid B. Strelick, Murray Louis, and more. He is currently a part of the faculty at the Steps on Broadway Academy, Nadia’s Performing Arts Center, and Love to Dance Performing Arts Center. He has a strong passion for choreography and has showcased his work at the American College Dance Association’s Northeast Conference, The 2023 Young Choreographer’s Festival, Adelphi University’s Student Showcase, Sybarite, Club NYC, Journey Dance Awards, and more.

Gabi Roller is a proud alumni of the Steps Conservatory class of 2024 and began as a teacher and assistant for the Steps Academy in 2022. Post graduation, she has continued her work with the Steps Academy, as well as joined The New Jack Cole Dancers as a company apprentice. Gabi is trained in many dance styles, a credit to her training as a company dancer with The Dallas Conservatory where she also worked as a teacher and choreographer. Gabi’s foundation in the performing arts began in the theatre, performing professionally with regional theatres such as Casa Manana and Lyric Stage as an actor, singer, and dancer. As a youth teacher, she is known for bringing a deeply supportive and caring, yet challenging and inspirational energy to her classes. Gabi is THRILLED to be part of the Steps team and loves to share her passion for dance!

Cori Jo Swanson is a New York City-based creative. Her expertise spans every facet of the entertainment industry, including creative direction, choreography, casting, development, and performance. Cori has produced shows at The Producer’s Club in NYC, installed several casts for Royal Caribbean International as part of the design and costuming team, and was the Associate Choreographer for Cabaret: The Musical (Arden Theater, PA).

Cori worked in the casting department for RWS Entertainment Group and Binder Casting for 4 years, specializing in casting dancers for Holland America Line’s “Step One Dance Company,” Virgin Voyages, Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard Line, Hershey Park, Winter Fest Kings Dominion, and more.

Now a Co-Founder of Creative Streak Entertainment, Cori delivers unmatched live entertainment for corporate, nightlife, and theme park, & cruise ship clients. Through Creative Streak Entertainment (CSE), Cori provided Creative Direction & casting services for the grand opening of Tin Building by Jean-Georges in Seaport NYC, created custom shows for SoHo House NYC and Hard Rock Hotel Times Square, and more. Currently, Cori is the Associate Choreographer and providing casting services, through CSE, for “SPLASH! Waterworks Parade” under the creative direction of Marilyn Magnes, which will tour multiple Six Flags Theme Parks!

Class Description

Betty is a New York City-based dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, and teaching artist. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Betty’s earliest dance training was heavily influenced by contemporary and modern styles. She received a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business from Oklahoma City University, studying stage management, producing, lighting design, directing, development and fundraising, and more; all in addition to dancing and performing with the Ann Lacy School of Dance and Arts Management.

As a dancer and performer, Betty is signed with CESD Talent. She has performed at regional theaters (Maltz Jupiter Theater, Fireside Theatre), on national tours (ELF: The Musical), and in tv/film (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law and Order). Some special career highlights are performing in Freddie Falls in Love at the Joyce Theatre, and inside the MET Gala with Leslie Odom Jr- directed by Baz Luhrman and choreographed by Andy Blankenbeuhler. She regularly participates in fundraising performances for various causes (BCEFA, Arts for Alz, Leg Up On Life), as well as industry showcases (DanceBreak, Kiss My Face).

In addition to performing, Betty collaborates with numerous choreographers on productions, events, and tv shows. Some of these include Al Blackstone, Billy Griffin, Andy Blankenbeuhler, Karla Puno-Garcia, Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, Jen Jencuska, Michael Mindlin, Marcos Santana, and more. She is currently an associate choreographer on the Broadway musical SiX, and is trusted by many as a creative partner. In addition, she has choreographed her own works for music videos, industrials, short films, and stage. She continues to create and collaborate on projects in addition to her career as a performer.

Betty is deeply passionate about dance and its ability to create connection. She is frequently seen at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, or Peridance, sharing space with other dancers and supporting the community at large. She is invested in creating work that inspires, empowers, or simply entertains. She loves yoga, hiking, and writing essays. She is an open, curious, and ambitious artist.

Class Description
Emily’s classes are a community forum for dancers to explore their potential and grow their abilities in a supportive and empowering environment. A technical warm-up designed to stretch, strengthen, and properly align each dancer enables an easy transition to full bodied movement, and improv that encourages individuality and purposeful choice-making will take place. age thirteen, she was afforded the privilege of being accepted to the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet on full scholarship and moved to St. Petersburg, Russia. Ms. Kezevadze graduated under the supervision of professor T. Udalenkova, receiving a B.F.A. Consequently, she was invited to join Boris Eifman Dance Company. Later, she joined Ballet Classic St. Petersburg Ballet Company as a soloist and in 2004 moved to NYC to further pursue her performing career.

While in NYC, she continued her training with many notable dance masters including Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Willy Burman, Milton Myers, Donald Byrd, Nathan Trice, Elisa Monte, Max Stone, Val Suarez, Donald Byrd and numerous others. As a guest artist, Natiya appeared in New York International Festival’s “Icarus,” Ballet Builder’s “Passing Thru,” Eglevsky Ballet “Nutcracker,” Rebecca Davis “Antigone,” and Nathan Trice “Rituals.”” In 2005 Natiya joined Forces of Nature Dance Theater Company under the direction of Abdel Salaam. In 2007 Natiya became a member of Complexions Contemporary Ballet and toured extensively performing works by Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Igal Perry and Jae Man Joo.

Natiya teaching experience includes the Joffrey Ballet School, NYU’s Tisch, Broadway Dance Center, STEPS on Broadway, and LIU Brooklyn.

Ms. Kezevadze continues her relationship with COMPLEXIONS as a rehearsal director. She is certified to teach NIQUE, and has been an invaluable faculty member at Complexions Academy for many years, teaching at Summer and Winter Intensives, Pre-Professional Programs and other educational collaborations.

Danielle has been commissioned by Jacob’s Pillow, the Ailey BFA program, Stars of American Ballet, and Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, among others. She became Co Artistic Director of Jazz Choreography Enterprises at the start of 2024, choreographed New York Circus Project’s tour of Hamlet summer 2024 and choreographed for St. Louis Ballet, AVID Dance, Revolve Dance Project, Chevalier Ballet, East Coast Contemporary Ballet, Interim Dance and Woman in Motion spring/summer 2025.

She was a featured choreographer for DanceBreak (musical theater’s leading platform for upcoming Broadway choreographers) made her Off-Broadway choreographic debut at the AMT Theatre with ‘An Unbalanced Mind,’ presented work at the McCallum Theatre/Palm Desert Choreography Festival and the New York Theatre Barn Choreography Lab and was awarded a grant from NYFA/City Artist Corps to present a full evening of her choreography.

She also choreographed ‘My Way’ at Theatre by the Sea, the Vaudevillian musical ‘On the Air,’ musical theater showcases at AMDA and has served as Associate Choreographer for Broadway’s Lorin Latarro.

She is on faculty at the Steps on Broadway Academy and Manhattan Youth Ballet and also enjoys teaching professional level classes for Steps on Broadway, Mark Morris and Peridance. She holds a B.A. Cornell University.

Class Description
This jazz/theater jazz class, lead with positivity, encouragement and personalization, encompasses classic vocabulary, while working on stylization and technique. Savannah Joy Cobb is a New York City based Educator and Choreographer from North Carolina. In 2011 she began school at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she performed works by Dwight Rhoden, Douglas Becker and Roni Koresh. During school she was lucky enough to travel to France, perform in RAW: Artists of Philadelphia, World of Dance, and The Capezio Ace Awards.

In 2016 her short film, Àme was an official selection of the Philadelphia Screendance Festival. Graduating with Honors; Savannah has now represented the ‘National Tours Number’ for Gypsy of the Year at the New Amsterdam Theatre and performed in ‘The Hudson Valley Dance Festival’ for DRA. She has worked with Disney Cruise Line on various Refresh Workshops, was casted in “POWER: A Concept Dance Video,” under the direction of Josh Drake and Kellen Stancil and performed in ‘Broadway Bares: Take Off,’ at Hammerstein Ballroom. Savannah has performed for Good Morning America and most recently for the ’40th Anniversary of Phish’ at Madison Square Garden. She has recently worked as Associate Choreographer on the latest season of Evil on Paramount Plus, as well as Associate Choreographer for Kellen Stancil for Broadway Bares. In 2025, Savannah took on the role as Co-Choreographer and Assistant Director for Broadway Bares.

Savannah is currently on Faculty at Steps on Broadway and Ballet Academy East in New York City and is Guest Faculty and Judge for New York City Dance Alliance and Faculty for Bold Dance Project. Savannah recently completed her training in ‘The Raising the Barre for Mental Health’ Dance Teacher workshop series and is happy to travel the country doing various workshops.

A place for conversations and uplifting energy. The class leads with a 45 minute technical warmup working through our breath to help us understand the movement quality in the choreography. Building on our intention and artistry together, every step of the way.

Audrey hails from Kansas City, Missouri, where she began her dance training more than 20 years ago. She attended the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment where she studied tap, jazz, and ballet technique with top-ranked professors. While in school, Audrey performed in the annual Home for the Holidays and Broadway Revue shows with the American Spirit Dance Company, in addition to serving as a Sound Technician, Assistant Stage Manager, and Assistant Company Manager.

Audrey graduated with a degree in Dance and Arts Management and has spent the past few years teaching and choreographing in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater. She has helped artistic directors prepare and execute shows by choreographing, running rehearsals, and overseeing backstage activities. This past season, she performed as a Radio City Rockette, where she further studied the precision jazz technique. Audrey resides in New York City, where she continues to hone her craft by taking classes and teaching a variety of styles. Other past performing credits include Raymonda (Raymonda), Beauty and the Beast (Enchantress), Coppelia (Doll), and Cinderella (Autumn Fairy).
