Steven Blandino

Steven Blandino has a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University, with a focus in Choreography. Steven is a New York based dancer & choreographer. Teaching credits include Faculty at Steps on Broadway, Pace University, Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, and many more. His choreography credits include Broken Bride Off Broadway, Dance Lab New York with mentorship under Ellenore Scott, New York Musical Festival, Carnival in NYC, the Steps Industry Showcase under Joe Lanteri, Dance Out Loud at Pace University, Jete in Los Angeles, the Choreography Lab at Steps, Rebel Rebel: The Many Lives of David Bowie National Tour, Burlesque to Broadway International Tour, APAP, The Young Choreographer’s Festival, Choreographer’s Canvas, Jared Grimes’ “Run the Night”, and most recently put up his own sold out shows at venues such as Symphony Space, Dixon Place, and Peridance KnJ Theater. Steven was named a Finalist for both the Capezio ACE Awards in Los Angeles & the Choreographer’s Cup in Nashville. Steven will premiere his original Off-Broadway Musical production “Falling Fast” in August 2025 at Symphony Space as well as his original dance narrative “Why Can’t I?” at Arts on Site in October. Steven has choreographed for commercial ads such as boredCOW & Noorshama Jewelry. Steven recently founded his dance company & training program treadFAST, which has already gained numerous sold out runs and training intensives in NYC.
As a dancer & performer, he has appeared in West Side Story (Chicago Lyric Opera) under Joshua Bergasse, CATS National Tour, Newsies, West Side Story (Houston Grand Opera, Weston Playhouse), Sleeping Beauty Dreams (The Beacon Theatre in NYC/The Artsch Center in Miami), Mamma Mia!, Shrek (Tuacahn Center of the Arts), Phish at Madison Square Garden as well as ads for Johnson & Johnson, Carnegie Hall, and many more. Steven was also a part of the West Side Story premiere in Italy and has danced under leading names in the Professional industry.
Class Description:
Classes begin with a warm up focusing on strength, conditioning, and core. Across the Floor may include improv, as well as a short contemporary-based movement combination to follow. Combinations are meant to challenge the mind, as well as to improve the pace of retaining choreography. His main focus is to challenge students to develop dynamics, style, and performance technique as quickly and efficiently as possible, in order to improve their class and audition skills. Contemporary based combinations are fused with authentic jazz technique and/or theatre inspired.
