Drawing on the reputation as the studio where professional dancers go to train, Steps’ Professional Training Programs, offers the dedicated dancer, domestic and international, ages 17 and older, various opportunities for intensive study. These intimate curriculum-based programs provide a nurturing environment where each student’s technique and artistry can flourish.
Through intensive training, performance, and periodic evaluations these programs create polished, versatile dancers brimming with the confidence and enthusiasm to enter the competitive world of concert and commercial dance.
THE CONSERVATORY prepares intermediate and advanced dancers for a professional career in the concert and commercial dance worlds. This two-year curriculum-based program is designed to strengthen students’ technique and artistry through study and performance.

INDEPENDENT ARTIST PROGRAM (IAP) is an open enrollment program allowing dancers of all levels, both international and domestic, the ability to create personalized training schedules that explore a diverse range of techniques and styles all while immersing themselves in NYC’s vibrant dance community.
