Paul Peglar is a performer, musician, and arts educator based in Brooklyn and Los Angeles. A graduate of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, Paul has spent over two decades on stage (SXSW, Sundance, Ford Amphitheater, Sony Hall), on screen (HBO, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fox’s Glee), and signed to Verve Forecast with vocal-electronic project Sonos, affording him eclectic collaborations with Sara Bareilles, Margaret Atwood and the Young@Heart Chorus. His postmodern vaudeville duo Dakaboom garnered 400+ performances across 48 states.

He has worked as a music director, vocal coach, and workshop facilitator throughout the US and Europe with celebrated institutions such as Atlantic Theater Company, Motown Museum, Tiffany’s, The American School in Switzerland, Stowe (UK), and he currently serves as Vocal Director for the Steps on Broadway Conservatory. Together with his partner, Broadway veteran Jenny DiNoia, he co-leads masterclasses and concerts supporting the courage and curiosity of performers nationwide. An avid storyteller, he has been featured multiple times on “RISK!” and recently returned to the stage as Jonathan Larson in tick, tick…BOOM!

Class Description
“To connect with your voice you must connect with yourself.” Steps Conservatory Vocal Classes bridge technical vocal training with bold, authentic self-expression. Grounded in a philosophy of presence, curiosity, and artistic risk, students are challenged to grow as both singers and storytellers. Participants engage in a rotating blend of solo and group performance work with an emphasis on preparation, creative exploration, and the ability to make compelling personal choices while honoring vocal health and technique.
